The Red Box Blog

Ramblings about D&D.

More About Me

I’m The Red DM and The Red Box Blog is my site for sharing the problems and solutions I have found with Dungeons and Dragons and other role playing games.

I started playing D&D with the red box set in 1986. I have played every edition except the original 1974 game. Although I love to be a player, almost every group I have been a part of has required me to DM, which is fine since I love being a DM even more.

I am a bit of a rules nerd. Although the story aspect of D&D is great, nothing gets me as excited as talking about how a rule is designed, its history, and the consequences of the rule being the way it is.

If you’d like to read about the many games I’ve played in, read my series My Life in Polyhedrons

  1. Hey, I recently wrote a post about making names and thought you might like it. It seems in keeping with some of your other topics.

Thanks again for linking site to yours; I appreciate it.

PS You ever get into Labyrinth Lord? I’m working on a PPT project with it you’re welcome to jump in on.

    Thanks,

    Dylan
